Strong Memorial Hospital

Strong Memorial Hospital is a 739-bed teaching hospital which is part of the University of Rochester Medical Center located in Rochester, New York. The hospital is a Level 1 Trauma Center where over 25,000 surgical cases are performed each year, ranging from routine surgery to complex cardiac, neurosurgical, vascular, and trauma cases. The hospital also has a large obstetric service with approximately 3,000 deliveries each year. Various specialties including cancer, cardiac care, gynecology, neurosurgery, urology, and pediatrics have been ranked among the best in the nation. Strong Memorial Hospital also has outstanding programs in critical care medicine and acute and chronic pain management. The hospital has over 30,000 patient discharges annually.

Highland Hospital

The 261-bed Highland Hospital is an affilate of the University of Rochester Medical Center with more than 11,000 surgical cases performed each year in a wide range of specialties. The hospital is renowned for its bariatric surgery, joint replacement, geriatric services, and stroke center. It is also recognized for the outstanding Family Maternity Center with over 3,000 babies delivered annually. There are almost 15,000 patient discharges at Highland Hospital each year.

URMC Surgery Center

The University of Rochester Medical Center Ambulatory Surgery Center at Sawgrass is a state-of-the-art, 50,000 square-foot freestanding surgery center in a newly built 80,000 square-foot facility also housing the department's new Pain Center.
